Molly |
Be that as it may, the two of them were fast buddies and have lived their whole lives together. Molly has put up with all the other cats and kittens that have come into the house over the years... sometimes grudgingly, but never mean. She does hiss at the outside cats and raccoons when they gather by the back door - as if to say, "there's no room in here! Go away!" But all in all, she's been a good loving cat. I expect we'll have her around for a few more years unless something unforseen happens. I believe I read somewhere that 19 is equivalent to about 93.

Love the post, seeing all the photos.
Ghost reminds me of Derry in that pic, his pose and expression. :-)
Molly is ancient. I can't imagine I'll have the good fortune to have the boys with me that long, but I can wish.
And boxes! I hardly ever have boxes in the house, as I rarely buy anything that comes in a decent-sized one. But if Nicki can get his jaws into one, he's "eating" it pronto. LOL. Makes QUITE the mess!
What a lovely bunch of coddled kitties. Your two tuxedos make a striking pair. I think a cat's love of boxes is universal. There is a cat named Maru from Japan that is famous world-wide on You-tube for his trying to fit into boxes of all shapes and sizes. It's such fun to watch.
If a box enters our house its a fight to see who gets it. The bigger ones are grabbed by the boys usually and the smaller ones left to the felines. Had to laugh a while back ....Rusty and a couple of the others had set their sites on a large box but then Kris comendered it for use as a Fort. An hour later I heard 'Look at what you have done ' ....then ....'Nana Anja ....Nana Anja ...Rusty has done a wee in my box'
I had to hold back the giggles as I told Rusty he was a naughty boy. xx
So glad to have you take a look at my blog.
I thought I was seeing double when I saw your tuxedo's.
We used to have 7 of the lovelies but sadly Kitty and Fred are no longer with us.
We both love our cats to bits but could do without the fur everywhere. lol
Will be following your posts from now on.

Kim - Nicki 'eats' boxes, huh? kinda like 'Simon's cat'?
Ms Sparrow - I'm going to have to check out the cat, Maru.
Angie - , I think Rusty was using his 'wits' as well as his 'wiz' and marking his territory...
Crafty cat corner - Glad you came by. Yes, we too 'suck up fur' daily. It's one of the prices you pay for love.
Thanks for visiting me, when I saw the photo of Julie tears started to well in my eyes she is the spit of my old Tinker, who lived to nearly 23 years. She has been gone 8 years but I still muss her heaps. I have 3 now and Tux looks like my boy Ambrose. They all love boxes too.

Hi Rian. Thanks for visiting Catbird Scout. I smiled the whole way through this post. Both of my new boys are sitting next to me as I write this, knocking things on the floor. They have a butter box that is beginning to look a bit frayed and will need to be replaced soon. It's really nice to meet a fellow cat lover.
Dear Rian,
Thank you for your kind comment on my blog! Your cats look so very sweet!! Have a lovely new week,
Madelief x
